There is a new pedestrian bridge here in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area. It is a 3,000 ft. bridge that spans the Missouri river and connects Iowa and Nebraska. It is pretty cool looking. We have been watching them build it and it was finally finished a few weeks ago. We have been talking and talking about going but never got around to doing it. Monday, for FHE, we decided to go. Aaron actually got home late from school and but still went, in the dark and all. Good thing the bridge is lite. Because of the darkness, our pictures didn't turn out very good so we will have to go again when it is light out. This is a picture I took off of the Internet. It was taken from the Omaha side.
We are standing right in the middle of the bridge. As we were standing there, we could feel the bridge sway a little bit. That worried Cameron, who is actually afraid of heights. Good thing he couldn't really see anything. I am very proud of him for crossing. He wouldn't stand next to me because it was too close to the side. He has been afraid of heights since he was a very little boy.
They even have a web cam on the bridge that you can watch live. Check out this link.
