Grandma and Grandpa come to visit

Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Stan came out the first weekend of March for Noah's baptism. We were really excited to see them again. We were glad that Grandpa got to come because we don't get to see him that often when we live far away.

They got into Omaha on Thursday afternoon so we went to the Mormon Trail Center by the Winter Quarters Temple. The church has a really good visitors center that tells all about the pioneers. It took the pioneers around 4 months to travel across the state of Iowa from Nauvoo to Winter Quarters (what is now Omaha) because of spring rain. One pioneer stated that in one day they crossed one mud puddle that was 16 miles long. It then took almost 4 months to travel all of the way to Utah.

At the visitor center they have dress up clothes for the kids to try on. Cameron really got into it and was the only one to wear the clothes the whole time we were there.

Can you tell that Cameron is almost to his teenage years! He is always thrilled when we want to take a group picture. He will be 11 in June.
This picture was taken during the summer when we went with Josh and Tyra. This is a hand cart that you get to pull.

The boys did not have school on friday so we took everyone to the zoo. It was a very nice day. Grandma took pictures at the zoo. I think we were there for 3 hours.

Grandma and Grandpa were here to help out with Noah's baptism. We were glad they could be there for the his important day. We wanted Grandma Linda there also, but she is sick and could not travel. After the baptism we went to dinner with a bunch of friends. It was a beautiful spring day with the temps. around 60.



Dallin and Lincoln love to play board games. They even talked Grandma and Grandpa into a few games of Candyland and Chutes and Ladders.
